Last updated 3 November 2026 · About VULA Assistant
VULA Assistant is VULA's browser extension. It fills in bursary application forms on funders' websites with details you saved on VULA. It does this only when you click Fill this form, it shows you everything it filled, and it never submits a form for you.
When you click Fill this form, VULA Assistant fetches, from your own VULA account:
It downloads a document from your vault only when you choose to attach it to an upload box.
Your details travel from VULA to your browser, and VULA Assistant puts them into the form you are filling. Once they are in that form, the website you are on can see them, and when you submit, that funder receives them under its own privacy policy. Check every field before you submit, and only fill in forms from funders you trust.
VULA Assistant does not send your details anywhere else. It has no adverts or tracking, does not read your browsing history, does not run on pages until you click it, and does not ask for, read or store your passwords for other websites. VULA does not sell your details.
In your browser, VULA Assistant keeps only a connection key for your VULA account. Your details are held in memory while you fill a form and review it, then discarded. On VULA's side, we keep a record of each browser you connect (a name like "Chrome on Windows", when it was connected and last used), and only a scrambled copy of its key.
